We are Halfway done?! WHAT?!
We found out that our sweet babe is a GIRL! Bring on all the shopping and pink! Nick's final guess was a girl, mine was a boy. At the ultrasound, the lady wasn't meaning to do that part yet but it came across it and we could see it clear as day.
Her cute little profile already giving us some attitude!
How Far Along: 22 weeks!
Maternity clothes: Yes, still in search of good maternity pants! It's basically yoga pants all day every day! I can still wear a lot of my pre-pregnancy shirts but my maternity ones definitely are fitting better.
Weight Gain:Yes but not sure actually how much. I think around 11 pounds which I feel pretty good about considering I feel like I can eat everything in sight!
Showing: Yes definitely, as shown above!
Sleep:Pretty good still and I love to do it often! The only thing that is frustrating is the frequent bathroom trips.
Best moment this
week: Found tons of cute fabric for baby blankets and for our baby quilt.
Weird pregnancy
moment: We had some test run and I had to do a 24 hour urine sample. Not pleasant and even more weird having to carry it back into the doctor.
Movement:A little here and there, not too much. It's the coolest feeling though! The other day I could feel the movements on the outside of my belly and she's doing flips as I write this!
Food Cravings: Basically anything Mexican or spicy, which doesn't help with heartburn. I also have weird craving for like fresh light things. Grilled chicken, corn on the cob, salads. Very random things, also all the food.
Anything making you queasy: Not that I can think of really.
Gender: Girl woot woot!
What I'm looking forward to: We have so many fun things happening this month. We are going to Washington next week and a family reunion the week after. It's gonna be a busy month but so much fun!
| We had a little bit of a worry this week. It turns out that I have pretty high blood pressure so we ran some test to make sure that I wasn't getting pre-eclampsia, which would be very scary this early on. I had been having a lot of the systems like really horrible headaches that wouldn't go away, and very swollen feet. Luckily my numbers were fair so we don't have to worry about that just yet but I'm taking some medicine to help lower my blood pressure and hopefully stop that from developing any farther. They did tell me that if I had symptoms like before, or worse, that we would need to go immediately to labor and delivery to be monitored since it can be very harmful for both me and the baby. We are meeting with the doctor on Tuesday and will hopefully know more then! It was a pretty stressful week due to all the unknowns about what was going on with us but we are grateful that our numbers were okay and don't have to worry about that just yet. They put together a little video of your ultrasound for you at the hospital which is so cool. We love this sweet little girl. |
